Last night, the Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones from two directions: the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov and Bryansk Region of Russia, Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, has said on the air of the news telethon.
According to him, the Russians have recently been launching Shakheds from the east coast of the Azov Sea.
"Last night, or rather at 9 p.m., they launched from two directions. In fact, simultaneously after 9 p.m., they also used Bryansk Region to attack Kyiv Region. And then at the western regions of Ukraine. That is, it is rare, but they are already launching from two directions," Ihnat noted.
He added that the forces and means of three air commands were working at night.
"We are talking about anti-aircraft missile systems and fighter aircraft that were intercepted in different directions - in the western regions of Ukraine, central Ukraine and in the eastern direction," he said.
According to him, the Russians launched 16 UAVs, 11 of which were destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Force.
