The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC) has ruled to confiscate the Ukrainian assets of Russian oligarch Arkadiy Rotenberg, MP Davyd Arakhamiya, head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, wrote on Telegram.

According to him, the decision will come into force in 10 days unless the defendant party wants to appeal it. But they have no chance of success.

"The property of Putin's close friend will be transferred to the state and managed by the State Property Fund. We warned that Russian oligarchs would pay for their crimes against Ukraine. Mechanisms for bringing Russians to legal responsibility are coming into play. We finally have an international arrest warrant for Putin and court verdicts against Russian oligarchs. There is more to come. We will make them pay for everything," Arakhamiya emphasized.

Arkadiy Rotenberg is the fourth Russian oligarch whose assets in Ukraine may be confiscated. Prior to this, the HACC seized the assets of arms manufacturer Vladimir Yevtushenkov; Mikhail Shelkov, owner of a plant that helped produce titanium for the Russian defence industry; and Oleg Deripaska, whose Mykolayiv Alumina Refinery was confiscated (an appeal is currently pending).

Rotenberg is called a close friend of Putin. The construction of the Crimean bridge is associated with him. In October 2022, the National Security and Defence Council imposed sanctions on Rotenberg.
