The United States sees an opportunity to speed up the delivery of Abrams tanks to Ukraine and is already working on it, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said, according to Bloomberg.
The US is working to deliver Abrams tanks to Ukraine a little bit faster than previously expected.
“There are some changes that you can make to the process to sort of speed that up,” Kirby said.
On 25 January, US President Joe Biden announced that Ukraine would receive 31 US M1 Abrams tanks.
Eight Leopard 2 tanks from Norway are already reported to be in Ukraine.
