The European Union has disbursed the second tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €1.5bn out of a total package of €18bn, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Twitter.
“Today we disbursed another €1.5 billion to Ukraine. Our support helps keep Ukraine running, while defending itself. And puts Ukraine firmly on its EU path by supporting reforms - good governance and financial stability, for example. Together we’re writing Ukraine’s future,” she wrote.
