The Head of the Joint Press Centre of the Operational Command South Nataliya Humeniuk said that Ukrainian defenders are doing everything possible to clear a 20-30 km zone on the Left Bank of Kherson Region from the invaders, Ukrinform reports.

"So far, we are working to make the enemy feel our presence and pressure. In particular, as part of the counter-battery confrontation, we are trying to clear 20-30 km on the Left Bank. This is a rather difficult job, and it is complicated by the fact that the enemy is constantly hiding behind civilians, trying to hide their units and equipment in the yards of residents behind residential buildings," Nataliya Humeniuk said during the telethon.

According to her, at the same time, the work of the Defence Forces is quite effective. In particular, the number of attacks from the Kinburn Spit has significantly decreased, as a supply and ammunition depot was hit.

The spokesperson also said that the enemy currently has no strong support, and even moving by land is difficult for them, as the Defence Forces are trying to keep the isthmus that connects the mainland of the Left Bank with the Kinburn Peninsula under fire control.

In addition, Humeniuk added that, unfortunately, the enemy continues to shell Kherson and its suburbs.

Today, on 23 March, Russia shelled a hospital in Kherson. The Regional Military Administration has not reported any injuries.
