Germany has handed over a new military aid package to Ukraine, the German government's press service reports.
"The German government is supporting the Ukrainian military in close coordination with its partners and allies," the statement said.
The package includes supplies from the Bundeswehr and German industry, financed by the so-called federal government's education aid.
In particular, the Ukrainian defenders will receive 100 M-G3 machine guns for Leopard 2 tanks and Marder armoured personnel carriers, as well as 3 Dachs engineer tanks.
The aid package also includes spare parts for Leopards and Marders. In addition, the country is donating 90 sensors to detect enemy drones and other equipment.
