Russia-backed militants are focusing their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors. The towns of Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka remain at the epicentre of the fighting, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has said.
Ukrainian soldiers repelled 47 Russian attacks in the above-mentioned areas.
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defence Forces aviation conducted six strikes on the clusters of Russian personnel and military equipment, while missile and artillery units hit two such clusters and two ammunition depots.
The Russians launched one missile and three air strikes, and fired five times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure.
