Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk said that the Ukrainian side is ready to pick up orphans deported by Russia at the border with any EU country, the Ministry of Reintegration reports.

Iryna Vereshchuk said that sometimes the search, all the necessary procedures and the journey take many months. In this way, 327 children have already been taken from the territory of the Russian Federation. And if the children have parents, they are the ones who do it. And for orphans and children deprived of parental care, the state represents both father and mother.

"As a representative of the Government, I officially express my readiness to take all our orphans. To do this, I propose the following mechanism. With the mediation of international organizations - the UN, ICRC or others - we are ready to come to any European country on the border with Russia. For example, to Estonia, to Narva. And there we will take all the Ukrainian orphans who are now being illegally detained by Russia," stated Iryna Vereshchuk.

19.5 thousand Ukrainian children are considered deported to the Russian Federation. 4,390 orphans and children deprived of parental care have been abducted.
