Russian troops continue their night attack on Zaporizhzhya, the press service of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration (RMA) reports.

"The attack continues. The enemy does not abandon the goal of intimidating the civilian population of the thousands-strong city," the statement said.

Residents of the city were urged on Friday to be especially cautious and respond to danger signals.

As of 7:07 a.m., the RMA reported that the missile attack was continuing.

"The rocket terror of civilians continues. It was a loud morning for Zaporizhzhya Region. The enemy launched a series of attacks on the regional centre and suburbs using multiple launch rocket systems," the statement said.

Civilian buildings were destroyed: a fire broke out in a private house, and the blast wave damaged neighbouring buildings. Currently, the relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the hit on the spot. The city council secretary said that the shelling damaged an infrastructure facility at night.

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Zaporizhzhya, located near the front line, is regularly shelled by Russian troops, including with S-300 missiles converted for ground use.

On 22 March, the Russians shelled Zaporizhzhya, opening fire on residential buildings and the island of Khortytsya. As a result, 34 people were injured, and one died.
