Sixty-five Ukrainian soldiers arrived in Europe this week after completing training on the Patriot system at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, the Voice of America has reported.
The military trained in the United States are integrating with other members of the Ukrainian Air Defence Forces. They are being trained to use Patriot systems provided by the United States, Germany and the Netherlands.
Earlier it was reported that the Patriot systems would arrive in Ukraine in the coming weeks.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine needs 20 batteries to defend itself against Russian missiles. However, even this may not be enough, as "no country in the world has ever been attacked by so many ballistic missiles".
