President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit Poland on 5 April at the invitation of President Andrzej Duda.

This was announced by Marcin Przydacz, Head of the International Policy Bureau of the Office of the President of Poland, in an interview with RMF FM. The information was confirmed on Twitter.

According to him, President Zelensky wants to meet Poles and Ukrainians living in Poland. The meeting is planned to be held in the Castle Square and the upper part of the Royal Castle. Everyone will be able to come to this meeting.

"Everyone will be able to see the presidents, of course, on a big screen, and perhaps even in closer communication," he added.

"Here we are talking about an official visit, and secondly, there will also be this element of publicity. President Zelenskyy also wants to say a few words to the Poles in the context of what happened last year, how the Poles are helping Ukraine, how they helped refugees at the border and took them home - I think this is the purpose of this meeting," Przydach summed up.

According to media reports, the visit will also be timed to coincide with the next NATO foreign ministers' summit in Brussels, which is expected to be attended by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

Earlier, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski said on a local radio station that Zelenskyy might soon come to Poland on a visit. He noted that a possible visit would not be announced in advance for security reasons.
