Denmark and Norway will jointly provide Ukraine with 8,000 155-mm artillery shells for CAESAR artillery systems, the Danish Defence Ministry has reported.
According to the report, the ammunition will be assembled from components manufactured in both countries in Denmark for further transfer to Ukraine.
"Ukrainians still have a big and urgent need for ammunition to fight for freedom against Russia. Together with other EU and NATO countries, Denmark is actively preparing various military assistance. An important example is our cooperation with Norway," said acting Minister of Defence of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen.
The ammunition to be provided by Denmark and Norway is suitable for CAESAR self-propelled artillery systems, the supply of which was approved by the Danish Parliament earlier this year. It is expected that the shells will be delivered together with the systems.
