Ukrenergo has lifted all grid restrictions that led to the need to limit consumption. Currently, Ukrenergo's dispatch centre does not apply power cuts in any region, the company's press service has said.
It is noted that consumption is now higher than on Monday last week, which is due to cold weather and the end of the heating season in some regions.
However, electricity generation is sufficient to cover consumption. At the same time, the power system maintains a sufficient power reserve. There are no imports.
The electricity supply situation remains difficult in the regions along the frontline, where settlements are being constantly affected by Russian shelling and power grids are damaged. In particular, Russians shelled energy infrastructure in Donetsk Region. This resulted in local power outages. Restoring power is complicated by the security situation in these regions.
Due to the damage to key high-voltage substations caused by Russia over the past six months, the reliability of power supply to consumers in most regions of Ukraine has been significantly reduced. Repair works to improve the reliability of power supply to consumers continue at all Ukrenergo facilities that have been subjected to massive Russian attacks.
Four key components are needed to prepare Ukraine for the next winter and possible terrorist attacks: physical protection of power facilities, restoration of generation, equipment and finance for this purpose.
