On 3 April, the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine received the first tranche of $2.7bn from the International Monetary Fund, the Ministry of Finance has said.
The funds were allocated under the new four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme, which totals $15.6bn.
According to Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko, the funds will help to ensure the priority expenditures of the state budget.
Last week, the IMF Executive Board approved the launch of a new support programme for Ukraine in the amount of $15.6bn.
