Ukrainian defenders shot down five Russian-launched Shahed drones in Zaporizhzhya Region in the evening, the head of the Zaporizhzhya regional military administration, Yuriy Malashko, has said on Telegram.
"This is the night of our heroes who defend the Ukrainian sky 24/7. Air defence forces have demonstrated their skills over Zaporizhzhya Region: the enemy's 'tin cans' have been successfully landed today. We are grateful to our servicemen who defended civilian homes," he said.
Presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak specified that five drones had been shot down.
