During the day, Russian troops launched two missile strikes from the S-300 air defence system at the centre of the peaceful city of Kupyansk, Kharkiv Region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Facebook on the evening of the 426th day of the large-scale Russian invasion.

As a result, civilians were killed and wounded, the building of the local history museum, which is not located near any military facility, was destroyed, and other civilian infrastructure was damaged too. In addition, Russia carried out six air strikes and fired more than 10 times from multiple rocket launchers in other locations. The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

Russia is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors. Ukrainian defence forces repelled 36 Russian attacks in these areas over the last day. The fiercest fighting continues for Bakhmut and Maryinka.

Russia continues to use children's educational institutions in the temporarily occupied and seized territories for its own purposes. It equips its military facilities in them, hiding behind a "human shield" of children and teaching staff.

For example, in the village of Urzuf, Mariupol District, Donetsk Region, up to 200 Russian servicemen from among the mobilised were deployed on the territory of one of the children's camps.

Russian invaders continue to loot the territory of Ukraine. In particular, in the village of Kardashynka, Skadovsk District, Kherson Region, servicemen of the Russian occupying forces are searching houses at night, stealing household appliances and cars from civilians.

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defence Forces conducted five strikes on the clusters of Russian personnel and military equipment, as well as one strike on an anti-aircraft missile system.

Missile and artillery units, in turn, hit a Russian anti-aircraft missile system, a cluster of personnel and military equipment, and a radar station.
