The Ukrainian military continues to advance in the Bakhmut sector. The Ukrainian defence forces managed to capture more than 10 Russian positions, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar has said on Telegram.
"We continue to move forward in the Bakhmut sector in the suburbs. Our units have captured more than 10 enemy positions in the north and south of Bakhmut today and cleared a large area of forest near Ivanivske. Enemy soldiers from different units were captured," she said.
"The situation in Bakhmut is very hot. The enemy has gathered all its forces there and is trying to advance, destroying everything in its path. Fierce fighting continues," she added.
She also noted that the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, is keeping the situation under control.
