Russian troops attacked Khmelnytskyy Region from the air last night.
According to Khmelnytskyy mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn, a facility in one of the communities of Khmelnytskyy District was hit.
"As of 7:30 a.m. on 13 May, no hits have been recorded in Khmelnytskyy. However, as a result of a terrorist attack, a facility in one of the communities of Khmelnytskyy District was hit. The fire continues," noted Symchyshyn.
The blast waves in Khmelnytskyy city damaged educational institutions, medical facilities, administrative buildings, industrial facilities, multi-storey and individual residential buildings.
Symchyshyn added that some residents of the community were injured.
As of 12:38, Symchyshyn said that at least 21 civilians were injured. Two of them were hospitalised.
The Khmelnytskyy regional military administration said that there was an attack on critical infrastructure. The facility is located outside of settlements.
Russians hit the region with four drones, 17 others were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force, said Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, on the telethon.
"Some trains will follow a changed schedule today," the administration warned.
