Russian shelling killed two women in Kherson Region today, according to the regional prosecutor's office.

A pre-trial investigation was launched into criminal proceedings over violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on 12 May 2023, Russian troops once again began shelling the city of Kherson and settlements in the region.

In Kakhovka District, two women died as a result of an enemy shell hitting a private house. Another local resident was hospitalised with injuries.

A woman was also injured as a result of shelling of the Daryivka community.

In Kherson, the Russian army hit the roof of a multi-storey building. No casualties have been recorded so far.
