President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he has signed decrees on the introduction of sanctions, including with regard to a number of persons affiliated with the Zaporizhstal steel maker.
"Today is a sanctions day. There are several sanctions packages, and I have signed the relevant decrees. The first sanctions package is for Zaporizhstal. By my decree, I imposed restrictive measures on 41 persons - 13 individuals and 28 legal entities - with the help of which Russia maintained control over the enterprise and harmed our economy," Zelenskyy said.
The president said he was launching a procedure to confiscate the Russian share, so it would "work for Ukraine and Ukrainians".
