President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russians are "already internally prepared for defeat".
He said this in his evening video address on 12 May.
"What is important to understand now? The occupiers are already internally prepared for defeat. They have already lost this war in their minds. We must put pressure on them every day so that their own sense of defeat turns into their escape, their mistakes, their losses," the head of state said.
Zelenskyy said that he had held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff today, where he heard "important reports from the commanders of operational areas". "I would like to particularly note the report of Gen Syrskyy and Gen Tarnavskyy, commanders of the Khortytsya and Tavriya operational groups, respectively. There was a report by Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyy, Defence Minister Reznikov, Minister of Strategic Industries Kamyshyn," the president added.
He noted that Ukrainian soldiers would receive even more weapons and opportunities to "overcome the aggressor and restore peace".
As reported earlier, the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, said that Ukraine wants to end the war completely by the end of winter.
