Spain sends new batch of Leopard tanks, ammunition to Ukraine

This morning Spain sent a new consignment of Leopards, ambulances, armoured vehicles, trucks and different types of ammunition to Ukraine, according to the Spanish Defence Ministry website.

"The other four Leopard 2A4 committed by the Spanish government have already left Santander for Poland. Yesterday the field hospital arrived in Poland," it noted.

On 24 July, a ship with military and humanitarian material bound for Ukraine left the port of Santander. It is expected that the entire batch can be delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in early August.

Specifically, the batch sent by Spain consists of the four Leopard 2A4s committed by the government, which will be added to the six Leopard 2s with the same characteristics, which have already been delivered to the Ukrainian government.

Also included in this shipment are 10 TOAs M-113 armoured vehicles (three of them for the State Border Service), 10 Navy trucks (of which five will be delivered to the State Border Service and five will go to the Armed Forces), one multipurpose armoured vehicle (for the State Border Service), three civil ambulances and one armoyred ambulance (which will go to different military hospitals), as well as one armoured civilian ambulance (for the State Border Service).
