The Ukrainian military in the south of Donetsk Region managed to move forward 750 meters deep into the Staromayorsk district and 500 metres along the front line, reports Valery Shershen, spokesman for the Joint Press Centre of the Defence Forces of the Tavriya Group of Forces.
"As a result of the offensive operations the Ukrainian troops have less losses in personnel, military equipment and property. Thus, Russians who are in the defensive position have greater losses," he said.
According to the spokesperson, during the offensive in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions the situation has not changed as Ukrainian defenders are getting foothold on the reached lines and hit enemy targets. At the same time, in the Berdyansk direction in the Staromayorsky district the Ukrainian Army managed to move forward along the frontline 500 metres and into enemy territory up to 750 metres.
During the offensive operation in the Berdyansk direction the Defence Forces successfully advanced into enemy’s territory from 350 metres to 1.4 kilometers.
Ukrainian troops also liberated about 35 sq km during the offensive operation in the Bakhmut direction.
