The 518th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine has started.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched one missile and 65 air strikes, fired 84 salvo rockets at the positions of our troops and inhabited areas, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
Unfortunately, there are casualties, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were destroyed.
26 combat clashes took place yesterday.
Situation in the Volyn and Polissya directions has not changed significantly.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions Russians maintain a military presence. Airstrikes were carried out in the Veterinarnyi and Granov districts of the Kharkiv region. Mortar and artillery shelling of more than 20 localities were carried out: in Semenivka, Chernihiv region; Vilna Sloboda, Svarkove, Stepne, Basivka, Mogrytsia, Pokrovka and Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region and Guryev Kozachok, Graniv, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainians are in the defence. Russians carried out an airstrike in the Novoselivsky district of the Luhansk region. Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupyansk, Kislivka, and Berestov of the Kharkiv region were under artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area south of Dibrova, Luhansk region. Airstrikes were carried out in the areas of Bilogorivka of Luhansk region and Serebryanka, Spirny and Kuzminivka of Donetsk region. Nevske, Luhansk Oblast and Torske, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of Donetsk Oblast were hit by artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas east of Stupochky and near Diliivka. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Klishchiivka, Predechyny and Diliivka of the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities, including Vasyukivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Pivnichne of Donetsk region were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainians successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops. At the same time, the enemy fired artillery at more than 10 localities, including Novokalynov, Avdiivka, Lastochkine, Vodyane, and Karlivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Marinka direction, the defence forces continue to hold back the offensive of Russian troops. The enemy launched airstrikes near Nevelskyi and Krasnohorivka. Krasnohorivka, Maksimilianivka, Georgiivka of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.
In the Shakhtarsky direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Novomykhailivka, Zolotaya Niva, and Makarivka of the Donetsk region. He shelled more than 10 localities, including Novomykhailivka, Vugledar, Novoukrainka, Velika Novosilka of the Donetsk region.
On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the enemy mainly concentrates on preventing the further offensive of our troops. Airstrikes were carried out in Novodarivka, Levadny, Malaya Tokmachka, Orikhov. More than 30 localities, including Novoandriivka, Levadne, Malynyvka, Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Stepove, Lobkovo and Kamianske were hit by artillery fire; Dudchany, Beryslav, Kozatske, Molodizhne, Antonivka, Komyshany, Kizomys, Stanislav of the Kherson region.
At the same time, the Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, and foothold at the achieved lines.
On 24 July, the enemy launched one missile and 72 air strikes, carried out more than 50 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and inhabited areas. More than 35 military clashes took place.
