The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue their offensive in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdyansk sectors. They are consolidating their positions at the captured lines, striking at Russian targets with artillery, and conducting counter-battery operations.
In the Bakhmut sector, offensive actions continue south of Bakhmut, Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff spokesman Andriy Kovalyov told the news telethon.
"The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives near Avdiyivka, Maryinka, southeast of Mala Tokmachka and north of Robotyne," he said.
Russians are taking losses, moving units and troops, and using reserves.
Ukrainian troops are holding back the Russian offensive in the Kupyansk and Lyman sectors.
"The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Andriyivka, Kurdyumivka and Druzhba. Heavy fighting continues here," Kovalyov added.
