Two Russian missiles hit residential buildings in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region.

As of 21:55, according to the Interior Ministry, five people were killed and 31 injured. Among them are 19 police officers, five rescuers and a child.

Four civilians were killed and three injured in the first incident. During the second strike, the deputy head of the main directorate of the State Emergency Service in Donetsk Region was killed.

According to the State Emergency Service, a rescuer who arrived at the scene was killed during the second strike. Five other rescuers sustained injuries of varying severity.

According to the interior minister, eight police officers were also injured.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

"The city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region. Donbas which Russia is trying to diminish to broken and burnt stones. Two missile strikes. A hit on an ordinary residential building. Unfortunately, there are victims. Rescuers and all necessary services are on the spot. Rescue efforts continue," President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote after the first report about the attack.

"The ruscists [Russian+fascists] struck the city centre twice with an interval of several tens of minutes. They damaged 9- and five-storey buildings, private cottages, a hotel, eateries, shops, and administrative buildings," Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the regional military administration, said.
