The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) may be involved in the hacking of the website and internal IT infrastructure of the Moscow City Bureau of Technical Inventory (MosmiskBTI). After the hack, the entire data was downloaded and then deleted, sources told LB.ua.

Currently, the SBU is working with information about the property of Moscow politicians, civil servants and the military. Now the Service can establish the places of residence of Russian officials and their families, as well as find out what property they own.

As of this morning, the Moscow BTI website was down. The hackers posted their message to the Russians on it.

On the night of 7 August, some hacked the site of the Moscow Bureau of Technical Inventory, whose databases contain information about real estate owners in the Russian capital. In a message on the page of the hacked website, the hackers said that they had received data on real estate owners in Moscow.

In a message posted on the website, the hackers stated that "information about civil servants, politicians, military and representatives of the special services who support the war with Ukraine was transferred to the defence forces of Ukraine." The Moscow bureau denies the data leak and claims that the hackers gained access only to publications on the site.
