Today, on 21 August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was greeted with loud applause and made a speech in the Danish Parliament. His speech was broadcast by the President's press service.
"Now the Russian evil is hitting Ukrainian cities and villages with pain and death, but it openly says that it will not limit itself to Ukraine. Then, after our country, they want to bring this suffering further to Europe and further to the world. I am sure you hear this from Moscow. All of Russia's neighbours are under threat if Ukraine does not hold up," Zelenskyy said.
At the same time, he expressed assurance that Ukraine will be able to survive. The Head of State wants his partners to "hear, see and feel" this.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked Denmark for the Harpoon anti-ship missiles, as well as other military armored vehicles and drones.
Zelenskyy visited the Netherlands the day before. Ukraine and the Netherlands have agreed to provide our country with F-16 fighter jets after the training of Ukrainian pilots and engineers is completed.
On 18 August, Denmark and the Netherlands confirmed that they had received permission from the United States to transfer F-16s to Ukraine. On 20 August, during a joint press conference with President Zelenskyy, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte emphasises that the Netherlands and Denmark are committed to supplying Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets after the conditions for such a transfer are met.
Zelenskyy also visited Sweden. Ukraine and Sweden agreed to jointly produce CV-90 infantry fighting vehicles. There will be talks about Gripen fighters. Test training of Ukrainian pilots on these aircraft has begun.
