President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on plans to introduce changes to the mobilization of Ukrainians into the armed forces, in particular, by increasing their ranks.
Zelenskyt said this at a briefing following the third summit of the Crimea Platform.
"I will be frank: the military asked me to do this. To enable broader mobilisation," the president said.
According to him, the question of agencies that carry out mobilisation and how they do it is now important. Therefore, according to Zelenskyy, the priority is to "restore order" in military enlistment offices and military medical commissions.
"We need to accelerate the process as soon as possible, put things in order, and then start talking about increasing something, how to do it, by whom and with what," the president said.
Earlier, the Defence Ministry launched a campaign to motivate Ukrainians to update their personal data at territorial recruitment and social support centres and be prepared to resist Russian aggression.
