Ukraine is interested in the production of Finnish armored vehicles. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a press conference with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, Yle reports.
Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces already have several Finnish Pasis armored personnel carriers in service.
"...We have good high technology, and they [Ukrainians] have a lot of experience, so this is a very useful and good idea," Orpo replied.
He added that Finland is currently considering additional options for future cooperation between Finnish companies and Ukraine.
Zelenskyy and Orpo also discussed the issue of fighter jets. In particular, it is about the F-18.
"If Finland does not need F-18 fighters, we will gladly accept them," Zelenskyy said, but added that F-16 fighters are a top priority for Ukraine.
At a press conference, Petteri Orpo said that Finland is preparing to provide the 18th defence support package, which will include ammunition and weapons. The Republic of Finland supports Ukraine's membership in the EU and NATO and is ready to contribute to the post-war reconstruction of our country.
Meanwhile, Denmark has announced that it will provide Ukraine with 19 F-16 aircraft. Fighter jets will also come from the Netherlands.
