On the morning of 24 August, an engagement involving boats and aircraft took place in Crimea. Ukrainian troops are conducting special operations.

At 12:53, the Main Intelligence Directorate published details of the special operation.

"On the night of 24 August, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine conducted an operation with the support of the Navy in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Special forces landed on the shore Olenivka and Mayak. Ukrainian defenders fought with the occupier's units while performing a task. As a result, the enemy suffered losses among its personnel, some equipment was destroyed. Also, the state flag was hung again in the Ukrainian Crimea," the MID reported.

The intelligence officers noted that all goals and objectives were achieved. After completing of the special operation, Ukrainian defenders left the site without losses.

Earlier, it was reported that during the special operation, the military landed in Crimea, a representative of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Andriy Yusov, has said in a comment to Hromadske.

The special operation continues, Yusov told Suspilne. This comment was published at 10:57 a.m.

"Units of the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate carried out the landing as part of a special operation, all tasks have been completed," he said.

According to Yusov, the navy is involved. There are no losses among the personnel.

"There are losses among the enemy's personnel, as well as among forces and means. Information on the number of casualties is being clarified," he said.

Around 5 a.m., the Krym Realii project reported that explosions were heard near the village of Mayak on Cape Tarkhankut from 5 a.m.

Ukrainian troops destroyed an S-400 system, damaged a Bastion system and radar stations in Crimea yesterday. According to the Ukrainian intelligence, this also happened at Cape Tarkhankut.
