President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed condolences over the death of three pilots in Zhytomyr Region.

"Yesterday, a catastrophe occurred in the sky over Zhytomyr Region. Three pilots got killed. Among them was Andriy Pilshchykov, call sign Juice. He was a Ukrainian officer, one of those who helped our country a lot. Very much! My condolences to the family and friends, to everyone who knew the guys," the president said in his evening address.

He noted that the investigation into the incident is ongoing and it is too early to share any details.

He also noted that this year, the authorities must do what is necessary to ensure that F-16 fighter jets appear in Ukrainian skies, thus taking the country's military aviation to a new level. This will bring the return of Ukrainian civil aviation closer. It will bring victory closer and give Ukraine more security.

In addition, the president said that more than 20 countries had already joined the G7 declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine: "Now there are almost 30 in total, including the G7. There will be more."
