Russia shells Sonyashne in Kherson Region, kills man

Today at about 14:00 Russians shelled the village of Sonyachne in Kherson Region. One person was killed in the attack, stated the head of Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin on Telegram.

"The Russian army shelled Sonyachne in the afternoon. They hit private houses. A 48-year-old man died on the spot," the statement reads.

The Prosecutor General's Office noted at 15:34 that the shelling of the village continues. Data on the victims is being clarified.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Over the past day, Russians hit Kherson region 59 times, launched 244 shells from mortars, artillery, Hrad, UAVs and aircraft. Three people were killed and eight wounded.
