The Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas has opened a laboratory for the production of hydrocarbon condensate gas, Galka.if.ua reports.
The laboratory will allow students and scientists to study the physical and chemical properties of natural gases and hydrocarbon condensate. They will also work with equipment that ensures a more complete extraction of natural resources from the earth's interior.
Students will be able to understand the peculiarities of natural gas production at each stage of the process. According to Oleksandr Kondrat, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the University, this is very relevant knowledge nowadays, as Ukrainian fields are depleted, and understanding the complexities of well operation allows specialists to prepare for future work.
The conditions of laboratory work fully reproduce the conditions that exist in real fields.
The laboratory was opened at the expense of sponsors. The project was financed by Naftogaz and Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
Naftogaz Group establishes cooperation with US energy companies to significantly increase domestic gas production in Ukraine using modern technologies.
Earlier, a 5bn cu.m. gas field was discovered in Ukraine. It is located in the Kharkiv Region.
