"Ukrtransnafta, a part of Naftogaz Group, will transfer two mooring tugs to the Navy, reported the press service of Naftogaz.
It is noted that the relevant decision was made by the Board of Naftogaz.
"Prior to the full-scale invasion, the maneuverable tugs Lviv and Ukrtransnafta were used to moor oil tankers at the Pivdennyy offshore oil terminal," the statement said.
The vessels are currently afloat and equipped with the necessary equipment. The state-owned company adds that they can be used to bring large vessels into and out of the port, to moor and unmoor vessels, to cantilever vessels, to tow port barges and other floating objects.
The flagship of the Ukrainian Navy, the Hetman Ivan Mazepa corvette, which is currently under construction in Turkey, may join the national fleet in 2024-2025.
