During the meeting of the Cabinet Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the upcoming heating season will be difficult.

"In the height of summer energy workers continue preparations for winter. We are not going to downplay the threats, risks and challenges of the heating season. But citizens should know about the real situation," Shmyhal said.

* According to the Ministry of Energy, five nuclear units have been repaired. Four more blocks are under repair.

* TPP: 24 power units have been repaired and are under repair. This is 62% of the total number.

* CHP: 70% repaired, another 30% is currently under repair.

* Hydroelectric power stations: 32 hydraulic units, or 68% of the capacity, have been repaired and are under repair.

According to the prime minister, the repair campaign is proceeding according to plan. On the part of the company "Ukrenergo", almost 80% of the repair works on the main networks have been completed. High-voltage substations have already been restored to pre-war levels.

In addition, the formation of multi-level protection for energy facilities is ongoing.

"Winter will be difficult, but we must hold up. We are preparing everything necessary for this," Shmyhal noted.

In July, Deputy Energy Minister of Ukraine Farid Safarov said that the next winter will be just as difficult as the previous one, since energy facilities remain one of the enemy's key targets.
