Canada will provide Ukraine with assistance worth CAD 25 million (USD 19 million) to help it fight in the cold season, Canadian Defence Minister Bill Blair has announced.
"Ukrainians are fighting bravely to defend their freedom. When I met with Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov today, I told him that he can continue to count on Canada's support. That's why we're sending more military aid: $25 million in winter gear and more ammunition," Blair said on the social networking site X.
The assistance includes shoes, thermal underwear, sleeping bags and uniforms for 2,000 female soldiers.
