The 128th separate mountain assault brigade of the Transcarpathian Region has confirmed the deaths of 19 defenders as a result of a Russian missile attack, the brigade reported on Facebook.
"A thorough investigation into all the circumstances of the tragedy is underway. The military asks that unverified and often fake information not be disseminated until it is completed.
"Our best soldiers were killed... We express our sincere condolences to their families and promise to avenge our comrades 100-fold. Eternal memory to the soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine!" - the statement reads.
On 3 November, Russians fired an Iskander-M missile at the personnel of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade in Zaporizhzhya Region, killing the soldiers. Defence Minister Rustem Umerov instructed the Defence Ministry's Chief Inspectorate to conduct a full investigation into the attack.
