A total of 101 Ukrainian citizens have been granted permission to evacuate from the Gaza Strip. The Ukrainian Embassy staff will be waiting for them at the Egyptian-Gaza border, Ukraine's Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk told in a commentary to Ukrinform.
"The first group of our citizens has received permission to evacuate from Gaza - 101 people, and the 367 we requested are those who have been approved for evacuation through Israel. The rest are promised to be released on Wednesday. Also, at our request, 51 Moldovan citizens are being released," he said.
Korniychuk clarified that 101 Ukrainian citizens are to leave Gaza today. Ukrainian embassy staff are already waiting at the border with Egypt and Gaza. It is expected that all those who wish to leave will be able to do so by Thursday.
