On Monday, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv imposed a pre-trial restraint on MP Oleksandr Dubinskyy in the case of a scheme for illegal border crossing for men. It is a round-the-clock house arrest, Suspilne reports.

The court partially granted the prosecutor's request in the case. Dubinskyy was placed under round-the-clock house arrest with the wearing of an electronic bracelet. He will have to hand over his passport and other documents for travelling abroad to law enforcement, and refrain from communicating with people involved in the investigation. He will be allowed to leave only to see a doctor and to go to a shelter during air raids.

The prosecutor asked for round-the-clock house arrest for the suspect, justifying the request by saying that Dubinskyy could travel abroad during the investigation, as he is not subject to mobilisation as an MP. Dubinskyy could also influence witnesses.

The SBU served MP Dubinskyy with a notice of suspicion of organising a scheme for tax evaders. According to the investigation, the MP managed to illegally transfer his civilian wife's brother to a neighbouring European country. To implement the scheme, the MP used a controlled NGO to enter the "right people" into the Shlyakh system as volunteers, ostensibly.
