Nine to ten times a month, enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRG) try to enter the territory of Chernihiv and Sumy Regions bordering Russia. This was reported by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev.

"The purpose of subversive reconnaissance groups is to reconnoiter our positions and strike military or even civilian targets. Nine to ten times a month, enemy SRG try to enter the territory of Chernihiv and Sumy Regions bordering Russia. These are professionally trained servicemen of the Special Operations Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff, so we must always be on the watch," the Command's press service quoted Nayev as saying.

He explained that joint actions of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, as well as general military units covering the state border are being practiced for this purpose.

"This interaction, clear division of responsibilities and coherence give Ukraine an advantage," Nayev said.
