Between 2014 and 2022, Ukraine held about 200 rounds of negotiations with Russia, foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba posted on X.
According to Kuleba, 20 ceasefire agreements were reached during this period, and Russia quickly violated all of them.
"None of the 200 rounds of negotiations or 20 ceasefire agreements prevented Putin from launching a brutal all-out invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Those who argue that Ukraine should negotiate with Russia now are either ignorant or misguided, or they are siding with Russia and want Putin to pause before even more aggression," the Foreign Minister stressed.
Kuleba added that "we should not and will not fall into this trap".
