The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine confirmed that two small amphibious assault ships of the Black Sea Fleet were hit in the occupied Crimea. They were carrying a crew and armoured vehicles.

The military attacked the boats of the 11770 project (chamois class) during a night operation. This was reported in the DIU's Telegram.

"The vessels had a crew and loaded armoured vehicles, including BTR-82. The Russian aggressor state actively used small serna-class landing boats during the occupation of Zmiyinyy Island to transfer military equipment and troops," the statement said.

In addition, the Russians deployed Tor-m2 anti-aircraft missile systems on board the boats to provide mobile cover for their group on the island and in our Black Sea.

"A small amphibious assault ship of the Serna class has a high speed, can carry up to 45 tonnes of cargo and 92 armed troops. The occupiers use these boats to land advanced marine groups or evacuate them," the DIU added.
