Ukrainian Defence Ministry has announced how the defence budget for 2024 will be distributed. The Verkhovna Rada has adopted the law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2024". The Ministry of Defence will spend 1,164,48,728,400 hryvnyas.
- 862bn, or 74.1%, will be allocated for the maintenance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service. This money will be used to pay salaries and wages, food, uniforms, ammunition and personal protective equipment from domestic manufacturers.
- 265.4bn, or 22.8%, will be used to purchase weapons, equipment, UAVs and ammunition, as well as to restore equipment damaged during the hostilities.
- 36bn, or 3.1%, for operating costs and restoration of the Armed Forces infrastructure.
- 663.7mn or 0.06% - for the operation of the Ministry of Defence.
