As of the evening of 9 November, 89 Ukrainian citizens have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip. A total of 101 Ukrainian citizens have been granted permission to evacuate from the region, but the exact number of citizens still in the region is not yet known, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address.
"As of Thursday evening, 9 November, 89 Ukrainian citizens have been evacuated from Gaza. We continue to work. It is a very painstaking and delicate process," he said.
On Thursday morning, it was reported that Ukraine had evacuated the first group of 43 of its citizens from Gaza to Ukraine.
