The Special Forces of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine received a PD-2 UAV from the "Come Back Alive" Foundation for Competent Assistance to the Army. This was reported by the DIU press service.
It is noted that this is a reliable and effective tool for tactical intelligence:
- working radius up to 180 km;
- daytime camera with 30x zoom;
- thermal imaging optics with 5x zoom.
PD-2 is capable of real-time target tracking from a distance of 5,000 metres. The system consists of two UAVs, a mobile control centre and a ground station.
The cost of the system, including additional equipment, was 29,921,679 hryvnyas. This is the second PD-2 UAV purchased and delivered by volunteers from the Come Back Alive Foundation.
Along with the system, the operators received a four-wheel drive minibus with a built-in drone control centre from the foundation's volunteers.
