The wife of the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, Marianna, was poisoned with heavy metals. The information about the poisoning was first reported by Babel, and then confirmed by UP and Suspilne.
UP writes that the poisoning was discovered as a result of tests, which were decided to be carried out due to their deteriorating health.
According to the sources, Budanov's wife was "most likely poisoned through food".
"Since Budanov's wife is small and light, it revealed itself more quickly. And several other employees were confirmed to have been poisoned: "they are just a little bit gigantic, they didn't notice anything about themselves, they are now also being treated," the sources said.
Marianna Budanova has already completed the first stage of treatment.
Babel's interlocutors in the DIU said that the woman was poisoned with heavy metals that are not used in everyday life or military affairs.
The sources confirmed that Kyrylo Budanov had also been assassinated before and after the full-scale invasion.
