From 1 December, document checks will be introduced in Transcarpathian Region for all locals. This decision was made by the Regional Defence Council. The relevant order was published on the website of the Transcarpathian regional military administration.
"Such measures are carried out in accordance with the procedure for checking documents of persons, inspecting belongings, vehicles, luggage and cargo, office premises and housing of citizens during the implementation of martial law measures, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 1456 of 29 December 2021," the regional military administration's press service said.
In particular, the commandants of districts and cities of Transcarpathian Region will be appointed to appoint authorised persons to check documents. The relevant changes will be in effect for the duration of martial law in Ukraine.
