At an extraordinary meeting, the government decided to allocate funds to the Ministry of Defence to strengthen defence capabilities in the frontline regions, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
According to him, UAH 759 million will be allocated for the purchase of vehicles and UAH 29 million for special equipment.
"This will allow us to form additional demining units and significantly accelerate the timeframe for clearing Ukrainian land from Russian mines and shells," he added.
