Ukraine has reached agreements with two US companies to jointly produce 155mm artillery shells. The production of ammunition can take up to 2-3 years, Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin has told the news telethon.
"We have agreements with two leading American companies on joint production of 155mm calibre ammunition in Ukraine. The implementation of these projects will take 2-3 years," Kamyshin said.
He added that in order to produce artillery shells in Ukraine, we need technologies that are available to our Western partners. Therefore, joint production is a priority, and the sooner production starts, the sooner the relevant solutions will work for the Defence Forces.
